What began as a simple hose enquiry and a £20,000 order has evolved into nearly £4 million in projects for our Flowtech Major Projects team.

During our work on Ring Main 3, we identified additional needs for our services. As a result, we've secured contracts to provide compressed air systems and other services, increasing the total project value to several million pounds.

This project, based in Gaydon, is part of the non-destructive testing process for Jaguar Land Rover. This testing is vital, as it ensures the longevity of vehicle components - an essential step in the car production process.

The Ring Main 3 project involved outfitting a brand-new room with a HPU, cooling systems, pipework, and a control system, all of which support the axle test rigs used to assess the durability of car parts. We completed the work for the compressed air using 50mm Transair, a top-tier product that is second only to Parker pipework, which is patented and color-coded. Our strong relationship with Parker Transair, bolstered by colleagues with prior experience there, made this partnership a natural fit.

Training was given to our installation team, demonstrating the ease of installation of the Parker Transair system, despite the complex and confined space. The variety of fittings, including 45-degree and 90-degree elbows, were installed without any issues.

This system delivers compressed air from the existing ring main, distributing it between the test rigs to provide cooling at various points on the axle test rig.

We are thrilled to have been involved in such an exciting project and look forward to continuing our partnership with Jaguar Land Rover.
