Our Strategy For Growth

We deliver this ambition through three strategic pillars:
Customer First – Frictionless Experience
- Serving a highly fragmented market with a diverse customer base and an omnichannel approach.
- Unlocking a £30 billion opportunity through digitisation, sustainable solutions such as electrification and hydrogen, strategic supplier partnerships, and delivering complete solutions.
Power of One – One Flowtech, One Proposition
- Transitioning from a fragmented portfolio into one integrated Flowtech brand, centred on FT Pro.
- Milestones already underway: H2 2023 rebrand, H1 2024 roll-out, April 2024 catalogue launch, H2 2024 new website.
- Expanding our addressable market opportunity in Europe from £10 billion to over £30 billion through broader power, motion, and control offerings.
A World of Motion – Expanding Products & Reach
- Leveraging our broad technical product range and engineering services across indirect and direct channels.
- Expanding into adjacent markets, growing the fluid power market opportunity three-fold, to over £30 billion in Europe.
Our Growth Journey – Proof Points

To show the progress we’ve already made:
- 2023: Launched Power of One journey — consolidating multiple brands into the Flowtech identity.
- 2023: Strengthened governance and reporting frameworks, including whistleblowing line and updated risk processes.
- 2024: Successful roll-out of FT Pro product range, new customer catalogue (April), and on track for new website launch (H2).
- 2024: Delivered operating margins above 10% in June, proving operating gearing potential as the flywheel turns.
- 2024: ESG momentum — reduced high-risk safety audit findings by 82%, introduced new diversity initiatives, and expanded FlowEd learning.

Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy supports our purpose and ensures we deliver growth responsibly. We are aligned to six UN Sustainable Development Goals and focus on three pillars:
- Environment (Planet): Delivering our Net Zero Roadmap, reducing Scope 1 & 2 emissions, introducing carbon intensity metrics, increasing renewable energy use, and driving waste reduction through our Smart Waste Plan and Eco-Smart Sourcing.
- Social (People): Building an inclusive, safe, and engaged workplace — with commitments to diversity in leadership, apprenticeships, FlowEd learning, wellbeing initiatives, and zero RIDDOR incidents.
- Governance (Profit): Strengthening accountability with an ESG committee, a whistleblowing line, updated code of conduct, and enhanced risk and compliance frameworks.
