Flowtech teams honoured by nominations at APEA and Plant & Civil Engineering Awards 2026
Flowtech
Our Flowtech teams in Belfast and County Durham have been honoured recently by two separate nominations from APEA and the Plant & Civil Engineering Awards, which are both taking place in November.
While our Belfast team were shortlisted for Top Team of the Year at the Plant & Civil Engineer Awards 2026, County Durham were announced as finalists for the Best New Fuel Installation Award, for a project they had worked on at a local university.
These nominations highlight how effective our teams have been this year in their individual sectors, alongside showcasing the breadth of work Flowtech are involved in behind the scenes, supporting businesses and positively influencing the outcome of crucial projects.
Working together as an effective team
Our Flowtech Belfast team has been nominated in the Top Team of the Year category at the Plant & Civil Engineering Awards. The category recognises a team that has delivered exceptional results through strong collaboration, leadership and shared commitment.
They met the criteria of sitting within plant, construction, quarry, civil engineering or recycling businesses that have successfully delivered a project, initiative or operational improvement.
Furthermore, they have been recognised as demonstrating teamwork, problem-solving and making a measurable impact within their organisation.
We will find out the results at the Plant & Civil Engineering Awards, which will be taking place at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast on Thursday 19th November. Find out more about the awards here.
Delivering state-of-the-art systems
Flowtech County Durham delivered a state-of-the-art multi-fuel distribution system for a customer who research advanced automotive propulsion systems, which formed the basis of their nomination at APEA this year.
The installation incorporated over 2 km of specialist BRUGG double-walled pipework, continuously monitored by SGB leak detection units, and more than 800 actuated valves supplying 10 engine test cells.
Designed for multiple ATEX hazardous-area zones, the system also features bespoke control panels, with integrated HMI functionality.
The project has been recognised as demonstrating engineering excellence, operational flexibility, and environmental protection.
APEA 2026 takes place at Arena MK in Milton Keynes on Thursday 12th November, where our team will be in attendance to find out the results. Find out more about APEA Live here.
