Threads: Threads are British Standard taper to IS07 and BS21. All male threads are BSPT and female threads are BSPP. To EN 10226-1 and EN ISO 228-1. Materials: Whiteheart malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5 to EN 1562. Media: Suitable for the flow of water, steam, gas or other non aggressive media. Surface Finishing: Two types are available: Black: With an anti-corrosive varnish to protect against rust after installation prior to plant conditioning. Galvanised: Hot-dip zinc coated to give additional resistance to corrosion. GF241-14-18, GF241-38-18 and GF241-38-14 fittings are made of steel (galvanised finish - electro plated) and therefore unsuitable for potable water installations.
