Following conversations in November 2018, throughout 2019 Flowtech supplied a large volume of hydraulic tube and fittings via one of its distribution partners for a new wind farm build project in Southern England.

Concept
The project involved moving the current HPU systems in three locations from one site to a new purpose-built site where Flowtech supplied the following:
- 1.5km of hydraulic steel tube of various sizes
- 896 Eaton Walterscheid compression fittings
- 64 KR tube couplings
- Walform machine and associated tooling hire for 24 weeks
- 2,474 RSB tube clamps
Solution
The client finished on time and within budget, which they have admitted was down to the service and stock holding offered by Flowtech as well as the speed and accuracy of the Walform machine which they will use for all hydraulic installations going forward.
Benefit
In addition to increasing sustainable energy, this project created hundreds of local job opportunities.
The Eaton Walterscheid Walform machine was instrumental to the success of the project.
