Flowtech and Roquet

 

Flowtech and Roquet have had a fruitful partnership for over 20 years, with Flowtech distributing Roquet products and in return gaining access to the latest valves, pumps and motors.

As a brand, Roquet have been operating for more than 70 years and are a premium manufacturer of hydraulic components, including gear pumps, gear motors, hydraulic cylinders and control valves, amongst other items.

Flowtech engineers have benefitted from distributing and using Roquet components in their Engineering Solution Centres located across the UK, Ireland and the Benelux.

Gear Pumps

There are several specifications of Gear Pumps available as part of the Roquet line of hydraulic products, all ranging from 0.33-150 cm³/rev.

Roquet’s Gear Pump is a positive displacement pump which contains two identical interlocking gears, supported by separate shafts. A motor drives the first gear, which drives the second idler gear, producing a cyclic pumping action.

As standard, Roquet Gear Pumps are manufactured with cast iron front and rear covers for noise dampening purposes, and to extend the product’s lifecycle. This is coupled with an anechoic chamber design, which reduces noise levels due to the unique gear profile.

Gear Motors

Roquet’s line of Gear Motors includes cast iron front and rear covers and an anechoic chamber design, which constitutes the same innovative noise-reducing technology and extended lifespan as the Gear Pumps range.

Their Gear Motors consists of two interlocking gears, much like the Gear Pumps, but it is a mechanical actuator converting hydraulic pressure and flow into shaft rotation and torque, which is considered the rotary counterpart of a hydraulic cylinder.

Roquet Bespoke Modification

When it comes to bespoke modification of Roquet products, our Flowtech engineers are well-equipped to handle all manner of specialist builds, which may include gear pumps, gear motors and control valves, amongst other items.

The modification of Roquet products occurs at our Engineering Solution Centres, where Flowtech engineers will modify existing components to suit the specific requirements of our customers.

The modification process can come in two forms:

• Off-the-shelf modification - where our engineers make changes to existing components to meet new requirements
• Dismantle and build – where our engineers will dismantle Roquet parts in order to build a new component from scratch, when more specific requirements are requested
