About Parker
As a global leader in motion and control technologies, Parker (or Parker Hannifin as they are known globally) has a history that stretches back over 100 years to humble beginnings in Ohio, where it was established by Arthur L. Parker as the Parker Appliance Company in 1917.
Following the initial manufacture of pneumatic systems in the automotive industry and leak-free fittings for use in aviation, they acquired the Hannifin company, who specialised in cylinders and valves, which unlocked the ability to create fluid power systems for a huge range of industrial purposes.
Today, they are located in 45 countries with a distribution network that stretches to customers in 104 countries globally, supplying engineering products and services to a huge range of industries.
These include aerospace, engineered materials, filtration, fluid connectors and motion systems.
Parker and Flowtech
We have stocked Parker for many years, leveraging their superior product range to ensure customers are able to purchase relevant items at a competitive price, delivered efficiently and securely from our network of distribution centres.
Listed on our website and within our catalogue, Parker products cover a range of fluid power areas including hydraulic valves, pneumatic cylinders, push-in fittings, quick release couplings, hydraulic accumulators, tubing, blow guns and ring mains.
Alongside their main Parker brand, they have a number of sub-brands that cover other specialist product areas:
Combined, these brands ensure that Flowtech customers can access the most relevant Parker products for one-off purchases and bulk purchases for larger projects.
Parker Legris
The Parker Legris sub-brand is positioned in the LPCE (Low Pressure Connectors Europe) division of the main Parker brand, offering a selection of fittings, quick release couplings, ball & check valves and blow guns, amongst other items.
They are well-known within many industries for inventing the Push-to-Connect Fitting, which is ideally suited to installation in systems using compressed air and pneumatics in general.
These push-in fittings and connectors have been widely used for more than 60 years, highlighting Parker Legris as the leading brand for pneumatic connection solutions.
Parker Rectus
When it comes to Parker Rectus, who are similarly positioned in the LPCE division of the main Parker brand, they are best known as a leader in quick coupling solutions.
Originally founded in 1950, Rectus started out supplying couplings for the compressed air industry before adding products to suit a number of different fluid power systems.
Customers often seek out Parker Rectus for their range of quick release couplings, including couplings and plugs with various location-specific profiles. They also offer a selection of hose assemblies.
Parker Transair
Parker Transair are well-known as the pioneer of modular piping networks, specifically for compressed air distribution in many industrial applications. They are the third and final part of the LPCE division of the main Parker brand, sitting alongside Parker Rectus and Parker Legris.
The brand itself was launched in 1996 and has gone on to deliver solutions for more complex vacuum networks as well as other industrial fluids.
For our purposes, Parker Transair supply a range of ring main system accessories, including aluminium pipe, wall brackets and mini brackets.
